While
we are happy to provide a server for your CallXpress platform, we recognize some customers prefer to source their own server
from a preferred manufacturer. The following guidelines will help you to choose a server that will fit with your environment
while still meeting the needs of the CallXpress platform.
Minimum platform requirements:
- Windows 2003 Server,
Service Pack 2, Standard edition, 32 bit
- Minimum P4 2.8 Ghz
processor (large system and sytems running advanced application may require more processing power)
- Minimum 2 gb RAM
(large system and sytems running advanced application may require more RAM)
- Minimum 80 gb hard
drive
- DVD drive with support
for DVD-R discs
- Minimum 2 USB ports
- NIC card
- S-VGA video support
- Depending on PBX
integration and advanced features, you may require at least 1 dedicated COM port
Hard drive configuration:
The CallXpress server should have C: and
D: drives, either as separate physical drives or as logical partitions of the same drive. We recommend a RAID 1 configuration
with a hot standby drive. If partitioning a single drive, we suggest 25% of the space on C: and 75% on D:.
Telephony linecard requirements:
If you are doing only an IP integration
to your PBX, you may disregard this section. If you are doing a traditional TDM integration to your PBX, you will require
a full length, full height PCI slot for each line card to be installed. Dialogic are available in PCI (5 volt power),
PCI-Universal (5 volt or 3.3 volt power) and PCI-e from factors. PCI-e line cards require an x4 or greater slot.
Aculab cards are available in PCI (5 volt power) and PCI-Universal (5 volt or 3.3 volt power). At this time, Aculab
cards are not available in the PCI-e form factor.
